Candied Eggs.

Easter Weekend is here; as such I have two easy Easter or Spring treats for you to celebrate.

First up: Bird Nests.

                              Precious egg, nestled.           Look at those cracks: the chicks are hatching!

The "nest" is a cookie base made using my bake-off recipe. Before baking the cookie dough, press an egg into each one. I used Mini Eggs to represent the "eggs".  Recipe idea inspired by these pictures.

Another treat to serve on Easter morning: Eggs & Bacon.

Melt some white chocolate (the egg "white"), poor spoonfuls onto parchment paper, then top with yellow Smarties/Reese's Pieces candies (the egg "yolk") and pretzels/crackers (the "bacon"). Inspired by this.
