A replacement for the BLT sandwich... a DLT (dulse-lettuce-tomato)! Dulse has the crispy and salty qualities of bacon, but is packed full of nutrients, is vegetarian/vegan, is a healthy sea vegetable, and is easy to find if you live near a coast!
2 slices of bread, whole grain is best, toasted
2 leafs of romaine lettuce
2 slices of tomato
4 strips of dulse
1 tablespoon mustard or mayonnaise (optional)
Stack all toppings onto the toasted bread. Slice in two and serve. Easy peesy.
