Thursdays, Vitamin D, and Jokes.

Sorry everyone, but this post is pretty random. It features Thursday musings, some funny health jokes, and an important health reminder.

Thursdays are my longest day of the week. I start at 830 AM and finish at 6 PM... with only a 30 minute break throughout the entire day. Phew, that's a long day! As a result, some of my classmates and I have been getting together every Thursday to have fun; we're too tired to do work Thursday evenings anyway, plus our Fridays are relatively light (only one class). So far we've had dinner parties at C's, L's, and now B's (B for Becca, this week dinner was at my place!). My dinner party's theme was Thai: mango salad, pad thai, and pineapple orange sorbet for dessert. All gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, meat-free, and even peanut-free... no common allergens in this meal! This meal was proof that clean eating can be absolutely delicious.

Is everyone still taking their vitamin D? I really hope so. The "sunshine vitamin" is so important this time of year. I came up with a little phrase to remind you of the importance of this vitamin and taking it regularly: One drop a day keeps the doom-and-gloom away (cancer and depression, respectively).

  2. Dinner parties are something to look forward too after a long days work! I'm taking my vitamin D but I was wondering if there is any harm in taking Maternity Multivitamins (they were on sale..don't worry, that was the only reason why I had got them,lol)?
